moogiemynes's Journal, 23 September 2017

A couple of days ago, I completely lost track of what I was eating. I didn't eat bread or fruit or excessive carbs, I just ate a lot. My blood glucose went up, up, up, but I could not keep track of my food.

I have this production I am in charge of, and one of the stars is fussing about the other star, whom I cannot reach. We were supposed to meet today for the final practice, and he cannot be found. Monday I fell, and by catching myself I broke my phone. The phone company could not replace it until yesterday, so all my communication has been by email or text message. On top of all that, one of the ministers involved had to go the ER on Tuesday. He stablized enough by Thursday to have surgery. He was released yesterday. Any one of these things would have been easy by itself, but these and a dozen other similar things all came together to make a perfect storm.

The last time a storm like this came together was a year ago, and I had a heart attack from the stress. I think I shall forget everything and spend the rest of today meditating on the peace of God which passes all understanding.

You may want to try what I do... don't eat it until you jot it down in your Diet Calendar. The more attention to this one detail you give... the easier it will be to adjust your way of eating. Let me know if I can help.
