Shaping into someone I’m gonna like. :) been a long time coming. Slowly but surely will get there. Goal is going to be 135 by June 1, 2018. Weight right now is 192. I will get there one stinking pound at a time. Gotta keep my focus and can’t let holiday foods get to me. Gotta make it through Halloween, thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Nope not far at all. I said if I can lose 41 pounds in 5 months then the last 58 should be a piece of cake.

Emilygu is rights folks. It is time to suit up the armor and prepare for the 3 food holidays that are approaching. I am going to look for strategies, alternatives, substitutes and fasting. Whatever it takes!!!!

@smprowettThank you. :) @perks54 yeah I’m not looking forward to those holidays, too much food and “bad” food at that. Might end up making a dish I can eat and only eating that and making a little dessert that I can have so I don’t feel deprived. Not sure yet though.

@Emilygu, I am with you. I am going to prepare and take with me some desserts and special food. Maybe I'll share it with everyone. If they don't like it so what. This way I am guaranteed I can eat something good plus I am contributing to the overall holiday.

Agreed, the holidays will challenge us all, but I won't beat myself up over a small two bites of Fruitcake, and know that Yams and Sweet potato with a little bit of coconut oil, pumpkin pie spice and Cardamom will still be my friends. lean Ham or Turkey won't hurt me if l keep it under 5oz. Thank Goodness l don't have to worry about getting invited to my sister's. I'm all about staying home. l may just corn some Venison l picked off last year. It's just eating less and taste a little. Cheese will be my weakness. l can make a low calorie eggnog using Stevia, Almond Milk, vanilla extract, eggs, nutmeg, fewer calories than the low calorie stuff. It's when the Rum, or Bourbon, or Brandy that will boost calories and fat grams. and last year's Holiday Hooch was made with 99.5% corn distilled, l had to cut the Ethanol will high filtration R/O water just to bring it to the right measure of hint of Flavor. It's simple to know what to avoid, for me, but it ain't easy. Then comes Super Bowl.

Absolutely. @kiltedson I definitely made sure to look up an eggnog recipe. Hope it turns out good for me. Trying to find the best alcohol now that’s gonna be challenging. @varcity yes I definitely will avoid the main course. Although at family get togetherness it’s like 50 main courses with tons of desserts. Will do my best to see and taste a little bit. Lots of carbs tho as my family loves all of them lol
