I was really curious to see my weigh-in this morning.

I had quite some indulgences over the weekend, celebrating Awesome Daughter's 18th. Running Sushi, candy, drinks, desserts - you name it.

Add to that stomach trouble in the days up to the weekend, and it was all up in the air - no way to predict the outcome.

Well, considering that I had gained all the way up to 81.8 one week ago, I'm amazed that I ended with a 79.3 kg weigh-in today. This is really good. The smart smart scale still gives me the "Out of bounds" error, which indicates that I have a lot of non-fat extra weight on me. It is probably just water fluctuation. I'm working on getting rid of this, and hopefully this week I'll start seeing the other numbers on the scale again. I'm not too addicted to those numbers any longer - I know pretty much where I am and I'm happy with it.

Yesterday, we DID find a good lawnmower. And cheap too - well, considering prices in Denmark. We bought one for 989 kroner, this is about $200 - and this is about a 3rd of what a "good" lawn mower costs. It's a cheapie, but it doesn't look TOO cheap. Besides, it's a small lawn, and we don't exactly need a tractor or anything, so we're more than happy with the purchase.

It was really cold at the garden yesterday, so we basically just dropped off the box with the machine, and left. We'll assemble it when it's nicer weather. Main thing is that it's been purchased and it's there and available. It's been an annoyance all last year, so I'm happy we have done this.

This weekend was so much fun.

Friday, we went for the running sushi, celebrating Daughter's b-day. I had planned to get low sodium soy sauce, but the one I bought turned out to be thick like syrup and completely useless for the purpose. I just packed it away and went as I normally would. Now, the trouble with running sushi is that it's served on a conveyor belt right at your table. It's REALLY hard to keep track of how much you eat, and there is SO MUCH good stuff. I just kept going, deciding to worry later. Sushi is, of course, not the worst dish to go nuts in, but still... I had too much, got overly stuffed, regretted, you know - the works. :)

Saturday, we had planned to have visitors. Due to several things this didn't work out, and we'll have them over next Saturday instead. Minestrone with no meat got canceled, and pita breads delivered became dinner instead. It's okay - I went nuts still. We had a couple of friends over in the afternoon, to celebrate, and we had all kinds of snacks then. Only dinner got changed to something worse also.

Sunday was calmed. We went and got the lawn mower, and basically hung out at home watching movies. I did good on the food. I did eat a huge muffin, but I entered it and stayed (almost) within RDI. I was nowhere near the danger zone for not losing.

So, I was really curious how things would end after this weekend.

Last night, I was stressing over work. I didn't sleep enough, and I ended up getting up an hour early - at 3:30 AM - and got on my bike. No point in just lying there, when my morning could be easier if I had already exercised. :) Right?

So off I went, and as I was busy reading journals on FatSecret, I ended up doing 45 minutes instead of the planned 30. Nice!

Breakfast today was a little different too. We bought a ton of oat meal with apple/cinnamon, a rarity here in Denmark. They were dirt cheap, too, and reasonable on the calories. So I have switched my breakfast around today, to see how I react to this. I still have my eggs though, and I am basically having oat meal instead of my rye bread with ham.

It was very tasty, and so far pretty fulfilling. I like!

I think I was stressing over work last night. I have a lot of cases with unanswered questions, and where I am not sure which direction I need to take them. I am considering dedicating a full week to get all this under control. Cancel all my meetings, and really getting a grip. I think it'll be good for me.

This morning, I am having an interview I have been stressing a lot about. It's a trouble case, and oh boy is there trouble in it. I am having a senior with me on the side line, and I am sure it'll go okay, but it's still stressing me out. I can't wait for it to be over.

Today, I am thankful for:
- A good, low (everything considered) weigh-in. I wonder when I will see a new low? I would love to nudge it down just a little bit more.
- A great weekend!
- Heaven&Hell Live on DVD this morning. They Rock!

Have a great day, my friends. Do good! Life is good!

Sounds like a spectacular weekend. Good deal on the lawn mower AND the oatmeal. Hope this week at work is not as stressful as it appears to be starting.

What a busy weekend! I'm very glad to hear that you enjoyed the celebration with your daughter and that your weigh in still gave a nice result. It just goes to show that a little bit of occasional indulgence isn't the worst thing in the world. Good luck with your interview and I hope that your week turns out to be just as great as your weekend was.

Oatmeal rocks! I was just reading last night about how the carbs in it actually release more slowly than in other foods. I love how something so simple is such a lil miracle food. :)

Yes, Keld. Oatmeal is definitely my power breakfast. It is the one thing to which I can attest boosts my performance pre-workout. Hope it does the same for you.
