Heather Kodex-Bunny Cirilo's Journal, 22 June 2017

Kinda frustrated, started 6/5/17 and I lost 13.8 lbs that first week, then BAM, hit a brick wall. I thought it was a "potty" issue from all the meat & cheese so I got some stuff to take for that, did nothing for the scale, started having morning coffee which fixed the potty issue, but not the scale not moving... this has been since last Tues.

I'm eating the same, I measure / count everything. Can it be because I'm continuing with the coffee? My percentages of fat/carbs/prot/cals are good. This has NEVER happened before. I've always kicked butt at this diet. Whats going on?

It's not at all unusual on low carb to lose a bunch of weight in the first couple of weeks. It's mostly water weight. For every gram of carbohydrate the body stores as fat, it also stores 3-4 grams of water. When you're no longer using carbs , the body starts to shed the water. Stick with it, and you should start to see a nice, steady 1-3 lb loss a week. I doubt the coffee has anything to do with the scale not moving.

Not as of yet, I have little hand weights and ankle weights from the last time I went all in on my WOE/Exercising. As of right now I'm breaking myself in slowly with the Bowflex M3 I just got.
