Put in 4.3 miles this morning. No hills. Yippeeee! 0.5% incline last two miles. Piece of cake. Just glad to get through it. I was kind of dragging this morning. There is something to be said for breaking up the monotony with hills and speed variations. I guess I should be careful what I wish for; Sunday's workout is #23 of 46 in this Beginner's Half Marathon training program, and is 8.3 miles with lots of hills at a 3% incline. I am being careful not to deviate much from the training schedule, and trusting that this program knows what it is doing. It has got me this far, so as they say, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" Since I've read that you want to eat some protein as soon as you can, and within an hour of a hard workout, I've started eating a hard boiled egg right after running. Hey, every workout is hard when you're 62 years old and 50 pounds overweight! But the alternative sucks!
I'm grateful that it is Friday, but I have a lot of work to get done at home tomorrow. And then some of our church couples, and us, are having dinner out at a nice little restaurant outside of town. It will bring out the carnivore in me; I am sure that there will be a big, but lean mind you, steak with my name on it there. I was looking on the web to see what day of the week Valentines Day fell on this year, and I noticed that there were all kinds of inquiries as to what date it fell on this year. :) Well, this year it's February 14th. And, uh, in 2013, it's Feb 14th, and in 2014, well, as luck would have it, it's February 14th again! It's just amazing that for a few years in a row, Valentines Day is going to fall on February 14th! :D And BTW, it does fall on Tuesday this year.

When I hear a baby, I always write down the noises he makes, so later I can ask him what he meant.

Cracking me up... LOL Do me a tiny favor and SLLLLOOOOWWWWLY savor that steak... I miss them, as I've taken reds off the menu. We had steak for our anniversary, but it wasn't our FAVE steakhouse, so it was only ok. When you really have a good steak in mind, and you get one not as good, the disappointment might send you running for Prozac. I guess the up side was that it didn't hurt nearly as much going back to my veggies... Have a great weekend!!!
