baacs's Journal, 28 December 2011

Very happy today. Not only did I get back on track with my eating, I also got back on track with my exercise. In fact, I got back onto a whole new track with my exercising, by far exceeding what I've done in the past.

It's my goal to be able to run 1 mile without stopping. I didn't quite achieve this today, although I did end up running for longer. I started a program with the goal of running half a mile. (Technically the speed I "run" at is a jog, but I'm starting off slowly. I will work on improving my distance then worry about my speed. For now I'm just pleased to be doing more than walking.) I really didn't expect to be able to do any more than that, but I managed it all and even wished I had set it for a longer distance.

Because I felt I could run more, I started another program, this one set over 10 minutes. In that time I managed to run 0.75 of a mile without stopping. I was thrilled. In total, today I have ran 1.25 miles.

I will do the full mile, after how I felt today, I know I can do it.
