Apologies in advance as this is a huge journal.

What a great Christmas!

We had such a wonderful time. Don't even mind that it is all over for another year. I usually end up feeling sad because after all the build up it is over in the blink of an eye, but this year we seemed to pack so much into it that I don't feel at all sad thats its over. I don't think we could have fit anything else in this year.

I didn't manage to stay within my RDI on Christmas day or Boxing day, but then I didn't really try. I made a concious effort not to go to overboard, but I did allow myself to have a bit of everything I wanted.

Today, I have had a similar day, but managed to stay within my RDI (even though the food I chose to eat wasn't exactly nutritious or healthy).

Exercise has been pretty much non-existent unfortunately. But that will all change. My top goal is to be able to run 1 mile without stopping or walking part of it. Don't know how long its going to take me, but I will do it. So back on the treadmill tomorrow straight after work. I've found that I just have to get straight on as soon as I come in from work. If I sit down it seems so much harder to get up and get moving. Had a couple of exercise related Christmas presents which I'm itching to try out. My partner bought me a great GPS running watch with heart rate monitor and chest strap and my boss bought me EA Sports Active 2 for the PS3 plus I've had loads of sports clothes - shorts, running tops etc etc.

Tomorrow it all goes back to normal as we are both back to work. I see no reason to not get back on the bandwagon with my eating/exercising. We may have a LOT of junk food lying around the house that we have been gifted, but it doesn't mean I have to eat it in huge quantities. I cleared a cupboard (one that I can't really reach into without a chair) and put all the junk food up there. I'm going to eat some of it, but just as calorie controlled treats (if I have the calories to spare).

Looking forward to my weigh in on Friday, don't know what to expect, but I'm really hoping I don't see even a slight gain. I've still got 2 days to go before the weigh in and I intend to make the most of those days so I can hopefully see a loss.
