DAY 77 ...even though we have been talking . Me I have been on a self distruct mode . Been eating all the crap stuff again . but hey oh here we go again . Thank you everyone for the support . It is down to me yo get up off my ass and start moving . LET'S see how long before the depression tablets help and off we go . I have chosen not to fo my weigh in .why you all say because I know just how much I have put back on ...

Suzie. Try not to get disheartened about your weight.. I'm the biggest wimp as hardly ever weigh myself because I think I'm failing. Just being here shows how positive you are. We are here for you.. Rant and rage cos you've got every right and reason to. Take care.

,aww I too depressed most of my life and weight goes up up down up up up down. I'm trying veganism for a month. If you can try watch forks over knives its very interesting and educational. It may well comfort you when you see how we are all being poisoned! Hope you feel better.

Sorry to hear that you're feeling depressed right now, and I hope that you find your way through your thoughts and feelings and reconnect with your stronger self soon. It is pretty difficult to think about losing weight if we're sure that nothing much matters, or that bigger issues are afoot - quite a lot of us have been exactly there for various lengths of time. If you find sections of the day that you are feeling less low, then take those moments to chuck in (to yourself) something healthy - later on when you're feeling depressed again, maybe you'll be too full of nutritious food to stray too far or too deep into the bad stuff?

So - I meant to add that this isn't the time to try calorie reductions if you're definitely over doing on very unhealthy foods which ramp calories quickly even in small amounts. So then eat plenty of healthy food and don't worry too much about the calories of the healthy choices - it can't possibly compare to what you can do calorie wise if you eat the bad things! Also some foods actually make us feel better - and I'm not talking about chocolate, but weird things like porridge - apparently oats combat depression

Don't worry about your weight gain, especially if you are taking anti-depressants as they can cause weight gain/water retention. Check out the side effects (I've been through this too). You will get through this because you are strong and you know where you want to be. Everyone has moments where they give in to the crap monster, sometimes it's the only way to get rid of it. Hugs.

So sorry you're feeling bad at present but it's good that you're getting the help and medication you need. ARB is right about not worrying about calories until you're feeling better - just eat less of the crap foods and more of the healthier ones and the calories will look after themselves. Weighing yourself could be counter productive too since as ST says, there are side effects to some anti-depressants that will affect that. As Mrs M says, we're here for you so if you need a rant, feel free. Look after yourself, Suzie
