erikahollister's Journal, 20 October 2016

So, I went to my two day conference at a Sheraton near Foxboro. They have excellent food and obscenely copious amounts and frequency of it. They serve breakfast, snack, lunch and snack -- so much of program food to avoid! I did pretty well sticking to my WOE, with one notable slip. I had a small coconut bar. They put out a gluten free tray - so they suckered me in! I can't eat any of the usual stuff, but the gluten free got me! It's a mine field out there! Otherwise I ate big salads with meat from the carving table and stuck to coffee during the breakfast and snacks. A- I even brought a light supper with me to my daughter's house.

Travel makes staying on a diet tough.

Sounds like you did really well. All of the food sitting right there is so hard to ignore.

Foxboro, did you see Tom Brady walking around? Maybe Bill Belichek? I live about 25 minutes from there. Foliage has been showy for the last few days. I hope you enjoyed the area while you were here. Nice time of year to visit usually, but record breaking heat wave really affected people around here. BTW, serious tidal pull going on right with recent full moon. All the crazies are out. Bwahaha. As Hunter used to say.

Sarah, I live out in Western MA - two hours away, so it's not far. Beautiful foliage in New England this fall, eh?

That sounds very controlled considering the temptations - well done :)

I call your stay a win, Erika! I'm glad you had the chance to enjoy it. We're still a month or so away from color changes, but the pines are shedding, as are the Live Oaks, which means Fall in the South. We've had temps in the mid-high-80's this week, but we're expecting a big cool off tomorrow. Sweater weather...I love it!
