Don't give in! It's so not worth it, and if you resist, the cravings will go away. Good for you...I can't even imagine working a double shift. Whew!

Super loss. It is so difficult to resist once the "want" grips you. Glad you managed.

Honestly, it's easier for me to not eat at all. Anything that goes in my mouth lately generates cravings. My mood is okay, energy level is good. But, I agree, it's better to avoid the crap and see results.

Jocko, you described it to a "T." The Want.

Lady, I fall back on my Alanon slogans and daily readings.....while it is all about the alcoholics in our lives...I replace those words with wheat and sugar. They are addictions, more insidious but just as destructive to our health and well being. My daily reading book is called "Just for Today...." I can do anything for one second, then one minute, one hour, one day at a time....

You know, at the bottom of it, there is me squaring off with my addiction. Thanks for the reminder, Deb. I think it's time for me to go back into the rooms.

Lady, what a great loss! I'm so glad you resisted. I so agree with Deb, I know that the wheat and sugar are definite addictions, hard to resist but so very worth it.

My husband referenced bread as poison over the weekend. He has never been vocal about such stuff. He is listening to his body more. His joints hurt him when he eats bread. I am fixing to go to the mountains next week. Have to keep this in mind, addiction and poison.

I had a cupcake for my daughters birthday recently, the demand the next day my body made for more cupcakes was almost overwhelming. I mean damn, where the heck does that seeming insatiable hunger come from? Not only was it in my gut, screaming "feed me", but I was irritable and short tempered, too. So I threw some chicharrones at it and drank some really strong Dunkin' Donut coffee, crisis averted but again, damn, that sugar's got some powerful mojo.

Seriously. It completely shuts off any factors of reasoning saying "I'm full" then reaks havoc on your insides. This scientific tid bit brought to you by....

Agree completely and boy have we ever been duped. I personally think it should be criminal the lies that were given by government and big corps. CDC as well!
