Sugar Waffle's Journal, 23 July 2016

Now, this is the life! I am sitting out in my yard, grounding, listening to peaceful meditation music. I am listening to the birds. The breeze rustling the leaves. Watching the small wildlife scurrying around and climbing for berries. I even scattered blueberries for them. So cute watching the chipmunks eating them in front of me. Yes, there is construction around 1/4 mi from me and a main highway behind me. But I finally feel so peaceful. I am in my element. ahhh What more could I ask for? Nothing

kpwcalories, I just saw on youtube a video featured that says Pokemon Go is a form of mind control. Didn't watch it tho. There is nothing like being able to observe small animals up close

Later this afternoon the ravens arrive. I love listening to them communicate with each other. I've even seen where one got hurt and the whole group stayed with him or her the whole time following it where ever it walked. I've also seen where they all help a young one just learning to fly. Touching. We can learn so much from nature. :)

😀 I was teasing you! I can't get it on my phone, but it sounds like it's making the kids go outside and get some fresh air and exercise. That kind of mind control might be okay. You know, since they've forgotten how to go outside, look at chipmunks, kick leaves, find interesting stones, daydream with the clouds, etc.

behind me in the hedges is a perfectly made spider web. It reflects the colors of the rainbow. How beautiful. Never saw that before.

Being outdoors and just relaxing is so lost in our society these days. I love listening and watching too. My elementary school teacher used to always say, "Stop! Look! Listen!" Otherwise we miss life.

A co-worker told me that her sons now hang out and talk due to the Pokemon craze. Our local parks and public is now filled with people being guided by their cell phones to walk and greet each other. At least the artificial intelligence is doing something right by getting them out to exercise and communicate. Although it is no substitute for the real thing. Last night my darling kiddo went out in the neighborhood with 100+ other kids from his youth group and did a scavenger hunt contest. Trading a penny for something of a much higher value. One group brought back an old rusty VW bug body. The winners brought back a live girl... Fortunately her parents let them take her, since she used to go to the youth group meetings and they knew it was a fun and safe place to hang out. I am glad my kid doesn't care about Pokemon, because he prefers the real live human interaction and adventures. Life as it should be. Just breathe....
