DairyKing's Journal, 04 November 2011

My intake numbers are a little lower than normal today; have to go have some bloodwork done at the hospital in the morning and didn't want to take a chance on driving up my blood sugar or cholesterol - which are typically normal. This is just a routine checkup that I have to do before the doc will renew a prescription I was given years ago for high triglycerides. Those numbers have been well in the normal range for years. Previous doctor said she wanted to keep me on the meds because they provide some benefit even when your numbers are normal. Perhaps this doctor I have now will take me off of it. That would mean that I would be completely med-free. Some of the great benefits to running are lower resting heart rate, higher good cholesterol, and better blood pressure. I'll make an appointment for the next week or so to see what the results are.

Been a good day, but a long one. I have much to do tomorrow - and the whole weekend for that matter. Have a great weekend everyone!

Better blood pressure and high good cholesterol, are a great advert for running. I must DEFINATELY keep up the exercise to benefit from these plus points. Thanks for reminding me :-)

God luck with the blood work. I would take a guess they would be lower. Let's protest the meds!
