DairyKing's Journal, 03 November 2011

Well, no huge weight drop this morning. 227.0. Half a pound is half a pound. It's been 12 weeks since I started; I'm probably hovering around a plateau right now. I think this weekend will determine whether I breatk through, or stop it in it's tracks again. I'm feeling confident that, come Monday, I'll have some progress to record.

A rainy dreary day today. Glad I'm working indoors. I don't have a window with a view, so ordinarily, one day in the office is like any other.

Hallmark Card: "I'm so miserable without you, it's almost like you're still here."
227.0 lb Lost so far: 27.5 lb.    Still to go: 37.0 lb.    Diet followed 100%.

I see your taking me up on the challenge......Its on Buddy :D I figured when I go to the gym today, I can figure out how many calories I burn today and then times that by 4 and use that as my first week.

I'm up for it! Gonna have to wear ear plugs so the roar of the treadmill doesn't endanger my hearing!

Don't forget that you have come so far and lost so much! Half a pound is great! It is a loss...I'll always take that :-) Off the subject question: What made you decide to weigh in almost daily other than weekly? Just curious.

Thank you, M. I learned more about myself when I started weighing daily. Also, if I go a week and don't see any loss, I'm devastated. If I see a small gain or loss daily, I can blame it on normal fluctuations. By looking at my weight chart, especially when I zoom-in, like in an Excel spreadsheet, I can see that my weight loss is cyclic, to the point where I can actually predict with relative accuracy, where I'm going to be in a couple weeks - if I stay on track. If I drop a couple of pounds overnight, it's a telltale sign of a breakthrough; it's unrealistic to expect that trend to continue; but it's a critical time when the wrong choices can drive the weight right back up. It's a good question. Not everyone buys into the daily weigh-in thing. Some people hear voices.. Some see invisible people.. Others have no imagination whatsoever.

I weigh myself every morning. You show a nice steady decline. Celebrate small victories every day, treat minor increases as random fluctuations in your body's water loss.

I weigh ever couple days in a row midweek usually, just for a reality check, cause it CAN & DOES fluctuate. Then if on the official day I can tell how true it is, so I don't get nuts over it! Well, as best I can refrain from that...LOL!

Yes; it's really more of the analytical side of me coming out. I wouldn't have to weigh at all really. There are other indicators of progress. I'm on the last notch in my belt now. I am either going to have to put another hole in my belt, or look like one of those guys on MTV running around holding their pants up with one hand. Those guys can't be any good in a fight!

The guys with the sagging pants look fabulous when they are trying to run, one hand swinging the other holding their pants up. I can't get enough of it, lol. Others that don't know me, please know I AM being sarcastic.

Miserable day here too :-(. Glad I'm indoors :-)... But will have to shift my butt to go to the gym at some point today. Half a pound off is better than half a pound on .... :-)
