Holy crap! I know it was my birthday and all, and I did eat a lot of food (but stayed within my RDI), but seriously?

I gained 800 grams since yesterday. I know, I know, it's not fat gain. Fat percentage is at an all time low of 15.6%, so I don't complain THAT much. The thing is, my major weekly weigh-in is tomorrow morning, and there is NO CHANCE I'm gonna make it a lower weigh in than last week. I hate that.

Then comes Indulgence Day Saturday, and I can start all over. Of course, there is less body fat, and my belt is even a notch in from today (first time EVER that I've actually have to add new holes to SHORTEN a belt), but I would have really liked to see a weigh in in the 87 kg range. Today I am almost at 91. :/

Oh well.

I know: I'm post birthday whiny.

Fact is, I had a GREAT day yesterday. So many greetings both here, on Facebook and in real life. Got some super nice sweaters from my wife (and of course my bass was part b-day gift too), and it was overall an amazing day.

Life is good!

EDIT:
So, I just went to clip my toe nails and I realized something weird. I have suffered from ingrown toe nails on my big toes for YEARS, probably 10-15 years or so.
Today, for the first time, clipping those nails was completely pain free. I wonder, does weight loss even affect THAT, or is this pure coincidence? Also, I realized a few evenings ago, that the severe itchiness on my back when I go to bed disappeared about 6 months ago. Weird. How about you guys? Do you see any unexpected "improvements" like that?

Wow the bedtime itchiness....drives me mad....can it go through weightloss/ healthy eating....looking forward to that! The ingrowing toenail thing...hmmm I have lost weight on my feet, shoes no longer have to be bought from the wide fit collection, perhaps less pudggy toes have more room and the nails are not squashed into the flesh around them? Whatever....RESULT!!! Re your fluctuations....are you part camel? (plus it gives you the hump...lol)XXXX

Your body fat % is great ..... Funny how the weight numbers can sometimes be so unpredictable - your right, it can't be fat, as your fat% has reduced and the notch on the belt - great result. Good job you have other bench marks to gauge success. re "unexpected improvements" I can relate to Di's comment about loosing weight on your feet - a couple of pairs of my sandals "slop" about now lol. I will add "unexpected negatives". I have mentioned this before - my tail bone hurts and digs in me, if I sit for too long - guess it stops me from sitting on my bum for too long lol Glad you had a great day on your birthday - just think what the next one will be like - you will have had your skin surgery by then too, I would think :-)

How do you measure body fat?? My feet are a full size smaller, even my husband made a comment today about my "skinny" toes..lol My wedding rings are HUGE and I can’t wear them, My Favorite boots are loose on my legs now, where I needed help to zip them up last winter. I also needed to add new holes to my belt- a weird feeling I must admit! Sad that my back is SO #$%^ed up, that sucks, but Dr mentioned its from the shift in my center of gravity - that my belly weight pulling on my lower back changed my posture for so long my body adapted to it and now it has to re adjust to less belly- And the road running also is causing pain but he said to just ice it, and take some anti inflammatory and keep up the good work. So yes, many pluses and weird negatives. AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
