I didn't journal yesterday because I ended up out of the house all afternoon and evening. Our SCA home group is hosting an event in Kansas City this weekend. We are doing an interactive mystery. This is the 5th year we've done one and it's so much fun. The only two people who actually know who the murderer is are the writer of the mystery and the guilty culprit, so our group can play along with the guests. If people actually solve the mystery, the first one to report it wins a prize. We will also have fighting, arts and sciences, archery and a feast. The big mystery reveal will happen at evening court. It's usually very funny and very melodramatic. I was out yesterday getting my job set up and I'm supposed to leave soon to help with preparations for feast. All in all, it should be a really fun week-end. I hope everyone else has a great one as well.

Bren, I just got back from food prep. We have one of the finest medieval cooks in the kingdom doing feast. Wahoo!!! Hugs back

bfd, we will have people coming from the four state area, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska and Missouri. Our kingdom even includes a little corner of Arkansas. Several of us drove 7 hours and more to get to last weekends event in Northern Iowa. We have so much fun. It's like RenFest all year round.

Good heavens Christy. I'm in Odessa, which is about 45 minutes East of KC. You must be close! Our event is happening at St. Mark's Episcopal Church which is just north of the Plaza. We're planning to have a ball. The last four have been so much fun.
