No -- I didn't really eat 273 calories worth of creamed peas -- but I'm too lazy to figure out what the calories of the recipe really are. I adapted a recipe that called for heavy cream and broth thickened with cornstarch, and I used skim milk and broth thickened with arrowroot. So my recipe is a lot lower in calories, but still it was very delicious and involved bacon and crispy leeks. What could be better? Now I have a new recipe for Thanksgiving or Christmas.

I'm still eating too much on a daily basis, but eating below my calories used threshold. Wish I knew why I suddenly need more food...
