Just wanted to share a favorite snack -- I call it: Fresh Trail Mix. I haven't eaten dried fruit in years because of the high sugar and the sulfites, and now that I'm on FODMAP, most of the fruits in trail mix are on the "illegal" list anyway. But I can eat berries, so my new favorite evening snack is to mix 1/2 cup sliced strawberries, 1/3 cup blueberries, 1/3 cup raspberries with some shredded mint leaves and either a sprinkling of 70% bittersweet chocolate chips or slivered almonds or raw pumpkin seeds. It's really a delicious evening snack and boosts my veggie and fruit servings and fiber for the day. And it's very filling.

Sounds very good! Hubby is going to the grocery today so I'll have him pick up some raspberries. The rest is already in my kitchen. Thanks for this snack recipe!

I have another question. Do you have it in your cookbook on fatsecret, so each fruit etc. doesn't have to be entered to list it in your diary?

DMZur -- actually I don't have this in my cookbook yet. That's a good reminder. I'll just put in berry salad and then I can add in whatever nuts or chocolate chips I decide to use.

That's a good idea Hermiones mom, if you share the berry salad than others can try it with what ever nut etc. they like in it. :-)
