Day 29 or 60

Well, it took four hours of effort, but I finally got to sleep at around 5:30 this morning, and then nearly overslept for work. I'll be glad when this spell of insomnia passes.

Wasn't pleased with this week's weigh-in, but considering I got three hours or less sleep three times this week, I guess a gain of a pound and a half isn't that bad.

For the first time in many years, Tokyo took a direct hit from a rather large typhoon. Some very serious wind and rain. And I got to watch it all from inside, since today is my 12-hour day at work. Really glad I didn't have to be out in it. We averaged one student per class, as most of our students are clever enough to stay home in a major storm.

I feel your pain with the insomnia. I have dealt with it in the past when taking pain killers for migraines and assorted injuries.. I try to do some lying meditation. I don't worry about the time at all. I will just focus on my breathing.. One way is to just count your exhales. Try to make it to 10. If you catch yourself thinking about something other than your exhales or you lose count you must start over. I made it to the count of 10 the very first time I tried this exercise.. have only made it honestly 3-5 time since.. in 12 years... Hope this helps I hate trying to deal with insomnia.. Good luck and remember to drink more water on the days you get less sleep.

Thanks for the advice. Happily, I got to sleep with no problem last night, and ended up sleeping ten hours. I guess the batteries had run down.
