I discovered that I must have an intolerance to gluten, for months I was feeling so much pain in my joints and I had nerve damage tingling in my legs and arms, I was tested for lymes and lupus amongst a full gammit of serious diseases, when the Dr told me all the tests were negative and to diet I went back on atkins hence really resticting any gluten, within 1 week my pain was 95% gone in my researching celiac disease and my family history I've come to the conclusion that wheat/grains are my enemy. Probably a big reason for the weight issue, my body wasn't absorbing the nutrients just the sugars so I was always hungry!

You must be happy to have discovered this out now. Shows you how far you can get on doing some of your own research. Better late than never!

I've discovered a gluten intolerance, too. Found lower carb gluten-free bread at my health food store, too! It's 9g per slice, so not for initial stages of Atkins.
