For any of my buddies that lift weights for strength, I highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend the conjugate method of powerlifting over a traditional linear training method. My numbers on the big 3 (squat, bench, deadlift) have gone up significantly over the past 6 months. squat has gone up 100 lbs.(285), deadlift has gone up 70 lbs.(385), and bench press has gone up 30 lbs.(235).
