Sandy701's Journal, 06 August 2011

Walked 3.1 miles this AM, temp about 85. Dogs went out on a shortened walk much earlier with DH. UGH Index about a 9, as there was light cloud cover from time to time and a fairly nice breeze occasionally.

The rest of the day looks to be an indoor day, as the sun has come out in its full glory and the temps are climbing.

PS - As you know I sometimes look to your menu for food ideas. What is Puttanesca pasta?

135Strong...Not so much color on the face, as I wear a pretty jazzy visor, but I've got a killer shorts tan...you know...the kind where you're nice and tan below the hem of your shorts but not-so-great above. I really should touch that up with a self-tanner.

Believe me Buffy, I was careful. But I felt so much better than I did the other day, pretty much felt like a normal summer day here which is always hot and humid to some degree. Puttanesca is a type of pasta sauce; not sure what makes it "Puttanesca" but I think it may have to do with olives???? Anyway, these type sauces are the lowest carb "spaghetti" sauces I could find, without making my own, which I don't really want to do. The first one I tried had 4 NCs in a half cup but this Bella Famiglia variety had 2. It's an odd brand that I don't think has very wide distribution, although you can find other brands of Puttanesca sauces in other stores. I found it at an almost-out-of-business locally-owned grocery store that's hanging onto its existence by a thread, I think. So, as long as they're in business and I can get it there, it will be my pasta sauce.
