Sandy701's Journal, 23 June 2011

"I'll take Meterology for $100, Alex."

"OK, Meterology for $100. '89 degrees, dewpoint in the 70's, and little to no breeze.'"

"What is UGH?"

"Correct!!!"

Walked 3.4 miles anyway. Storms are forecast and the clouds even spit a bit of rain a few times on the walk, but hard to feel much of anything but sweat. Doggies went 1.2 miles.

A quiet day otherwise with the usual household stuff to get done.

Sandy - You have such dedication to your exercise program. Those last 20 pounds just don't stand a chance.

Ah, BuffyBear, they're proving to be every bit as sticky as when I went thru the 180's (I HATE the 180's!). I may need some dynamite....

Well, Alex, I'll take meteorology for $200.....70 degrees, gray, and windy....um, what is June in Missouri 2011?...that is correct. I really thought that summer was here, but it would appear that fall is making an early entrance and it is downright cool here. I went to the mailbox and was shivering on my way back down...windchill about 55. WHAT THE HECK??? And I agree I HATE THE 180's!!! UGH!

Sandy, you're doing phenomenal my friend, WTG! I think it's awesome you're sticking to your exercise program no matter what. We're having very unsettled weather here too, thunderstorms and humidity so high that even when it's not raining, it feels like you're walking underwater. BLECH! Add another member to the "I HATE THE 180's" club, my body seems to love that number though and is resisting leaving it. GRRR ... Ah well, I'll just have to outwait it, won't I? ;-)

I agree - awesome job on all the walking! You will be blasting right down to the 150's! Honestly, I don't know if I could do it - leave my nice air conditioned house, to go walking in hot, humid (assuming bugs too) weather! Actually, last summer I didn't, I stayed inside & used the eliptical. That said, I will take meteorology for $300 - 63 degrees @ 12:43 pm, cloudy, rainy...um, what is June in Wisconsin? We haven't seen the sun all week!

Paula & Bren...Jeopardy was inspired by something DH said to me the other day. I'm going to try to work that in on another journal!

Stef and Dar....we could really clean up on Meterology on Jeopardy! When are the auditions?
23 Jun 11 by member: Sandy701
Stef, thanks for popping in. With all that's going on with your dad, I didn't expect to see you on anyone's journals. Great to see you, but take some time to give yourself a mental break, too, OK?

Carol, you and Stef and I can be the founding members of that club. My body also did NOT want to leave the 180's. I don't think it was a setpoint, but just that I hit a time when my body took a break; after all, I'm moving through weights I haven't seen in over 20 years, so I guess my body's entitled! But, you WILL get through them, I've no doubt!

Dar, yes the bugs are out. I've finally had to resort to spraying bug spray on myself before every walk. I resisted as long as I could and still only use that portable Off! fan thingy when I'm just going to be out briefly. But I still think the mosquitos are bigger in WI!!
