YEAH! It only took a few days of sticking to the "only one snack at 100 calories or less" per day AND no snacks after 9:30pm (we are late nite supper eaters and late to bed types here)
I tell ya there is a lot to this simple thing of just eating your basic meals and a lite snack (not to late). The evidence is mounting up fast for me. When I snack late or snack on more than that limit of 100 calories the weight shows UP on my scale almost immediately and does not go Away. I am loving what I am learning with this personal challenge between me a few friends here. THIS IS GREAT!! It is just difficult breaking the old lifetime habit of late night snacking but I am determined to do this. Hubby is doing it with me also, He knows that I could not do it if he were snacking next to me each evening, so he is going though "withdrawal" along with me. I have a great husband! Giving up snacking is true love!
I hope my friends are doing as well, isn't it amazing?! If we can just control this one thing... it could be the success we have been searching for. I hope I can keep this Enthusiasm going.
174.2 lb Lost so far: 6.8 lb.    Still to go: 41.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I am so happy for you! We are both losing weight! We are amazing and awe inspiring. I am so proud! Our husbands are wonderful. Mine is doing same as me and has lost 10 pounds too! Happy dance! Keep it going on you end and I'll hold up my end. xo

Oh Densible, we do have awesome hubby's to give up their late nite snacking for us. I am thrilled with both of us!! It seems so simple that it's scarey. Time will tell, but I do believe we are on to something great here

Hey J-I am not eating after 9PM and also gave up most carbs and upped the protein AND gave up booze-even on the weekend :( My SU gave up his wine too-that is devotion! I am sure it's a combination of everything. I will eventually reintroduce carbs and booze on a limited basis but will strive NEVER to eat after 9PM again unless I am traveling or something. We are going to Florida in July so will have to come up with a vacation contingency plan....

Excellent. I knew it should work. You both give me motivation and hope. I was out for supper last night and had some wine... that will be tough to give up. Great job!
