I'm not losing at all. :( I know it's my eating, but I don't know how to change it. I am maintaing my current weight but not losing anything and I know I need to lower my calories. How do I lower my calories without feeling like I'm starving all day? I have a stomach problem that makes me feel horribly sick if I don't eat, so waiting and not eating anything between meals is out. I think most of the time it's my evening meal, cuz that is when my husband and kids have the choice of what we eat and it isn't usually healthy and by then I don't have the time or energy (or money) to make 2 meals. It is hard for me to stay at or below 1700 cals. a day, I've been trying the last week, but it's been hard for me. I must still have a mental block when it comes to food that I just can't give up certain things, it's so frustrating. I don't know what to do about my eating... ARGH!!!

hmmmmm...I am no one to give advice since my weigh has been staying the same for what feels like months but maybe its the carbs. I am by no means going low carbs but Low-ER carbs. I am pretty much trying to keep them around 100g. Today was the first day I saw 182 in a LONG time and all I really did was try to cut my carbs in half. So when you pick up that muffin french fry is it worth those carbs. I did have fries today and now I have no more carbs left....So it will be protein for the rest of the day. All I can say it try it. Try 150 or 125 for a week and just see. I don't know, I knew I HAD to do something because it can't be the working out.

Whenever I've had issues with hunger I've always turned to high-fiber or high-protein foods. The problem with low-fat foods is that they are very often loaded with carbs, so don't be afraid to swap out some of your higher carb items. Even if it seems like less food, it will satisfy you much longer & help you meet your calorie goals.

Thanks guys! I am going to try to cut my carbs and check labels more closely. I know my issue is sweets and my dinners are usually loaded with carbs. I cut out the coffee creamer (except occasionally on weekends) now I need to cut out those quick snack bars that are so easy to bring to work.

yeah, I have been checking labels a little closer now, I used to look at the calories and go, "yeah I can eat alot of this." and before you know it you have eaten 200 carbs. I will say it has been a difficult few days but i agree with Kstubb because I do feel fuller longer.
