Ok so I got the new scale and it seems my old one was like 20 lbs off. So when i started I didn't weigh 360 I weighed around 370-380. I'm going to use 375 as my weight due to it's middle of the road. I honestly can't believe I ever let myself get that big. I'm a little upset BUT I knew this was going to happen and I'm ok with it. It is what it is. I just have to accept the new weight and move on. I'm def going to start exercising. I'm also going to measure myself tomorrow and then once every beginning of the month. I'm NOt going to let this get me down. At first when i got on the scale I was devestated as it only said 347. But then I realized the starting weight had to be off as well. THAT thought was very sobering. I weighed almost 400lbs. That just makes me want to cry. Anyway, it is what it is. I need to be honest with myself. I weigh 347. I used to weigh 375ish. Tomorrow is a new day.

Hi Dawn- Same thing happened to me with the scale so I know how you feel about that, mine was off 10 lbs too. I took the "gain" and moved on. I know you are just starting out and working on getting your food right as well as incorporating some exercise so I commend you on all your efforts thus far. Yes, this is a journey but just keep putting one foot in front of the other and make some progress each day. I know you said you are going to take measurements which is great. I would encourage you to do some front and side pictures as well. As time goes on and your body reshapes, these are great encouragement and morale boosters to continue on. You didn't mention this yet, but if you have not had a good physical recently, you should get one and have your MD follow along on your plan with you. Get some blood work done so you can see where your levels of cholesterol are, critical to working toward achieving good health. Your age and weight puts you at high risk for developing diabetes so you really want to ward that off if possible. You owe it to yourself to take charge of all aspects of your health. Continue on my friend, you have all my support!!

Thank you both for the posts. Babs~ I have had my levels taken. Everything is fine except I have high blood pressure and THAT wasn't because I'm big. I developed it being at my prev job. It's better though. My blood suger and tryclycerides are great. I have ner had an issue with that. *amazingly*. I'm just gonna keep pushing on. I'm gonna measure myself and take pics today. I'm also going to kick my exercise in high gear. I have walked alot this weekend so that has helped. I hope you BOTH have had and ARE having a great weekend!
