What are people's thoughts on the whole "When in Rome" principle? In other words, I'm in Paris now, but how do I only
OCCASIONALLY
indulge in the pastries that seem to crop up a dozen times each block, as opposed to every day? Ideas?

Being on vacation we are going to be tempted to go way overboard. Think of it this way. If you were in a Baskin Robbins. So many flavors to choose? You Pick ONE knowing the rest will be there another day when you want to try something else. No different than a buffet line. You walk the line first before you choose to add anything on the plate. We CAN still enjoy a little splurge without going overboard. Then walk it off sight seeing! Enjoy Paris!
