jb13236's Journal, 06 April 2011

Today I woke up before my alarm. And I got up. That's unusual for me. I like to sleep a lot. But I got up, turned on my computer, got my horoscope:

"Forget about your old habits and assumptions that have been holding you back. There's no need to process the same things you've been working on for such a long time. It's time to look ahead today, set a new course and begin doing exactly what will get you to your chosen destination. But don't try to do too much all at once. For now, it's all about big visions and little steps." Twittascope.com, Scorpio

And decided that wii's Just Dance 2 was calling my name. So I did 3 songs, got all that cheering and hi score validation. Then had a grapefruit. (I don't usually eat breakfast, either.)

Sometimes things just fall into place. I just need to stay sane, stay aware, stay concious. And that's going to mean drinking a whole lot less. And that's going to be hard. But not impossible. It's just such an established pattern right now. We go to the bar a lot. But in order to wake up early, to get moving early, to have a cleaner house, to accomplish so many of my goals, I can't be out til 2 in the morning the night before. And I can't lose weight by drinking 44-66 oz of just beer 3 nights a weeks. And don't forget about the drunk munchies that lead us to McDonalds or Beto's....

It's not just stopping drinking. And it's not even stopping drinking. I will still drink. But not as often. It's just gotta be a different life. Apparently the stars are aligned to help with that. :-)
