Day One- NON SMOKER
I knew that the patches take a few hours for your body to realize it doesn't need nicotine so I put the patch on before bed. Mornings and evenings are the worst for me. Boy howdy, they say vivid dreams can happen and normally take about a week before becoming to the point you can't handle it. I had only two dreams I can remember and I wish I couldn't they were just weird.
MY PLANS FOR THE DAY
I will drink a slim fast for breakfast, go feed the horses, come home and take a shower so maybe I won't get sick from the hay, drink another slim fast for lunch or have soup, clean out my truck and throw the ashtray away, take Michael to the doctor and while waiting on his meds go and detail my truck inside and give a quick wash on the outside. We are expecting more rain this week. After we get done at the doctor we are going to the gym, before feeding this evening, come home and take a quick shower again, and get to have an evening at home with my kids. Although tonight me and John are cleaning out the garage and starting to get things ready for a garage sale, my mom is coming to help with that, so I will take part of whatever we make and give to her for her trip, and the rest goes to savings for our trip.
GETTING BACK TO HEALTH
I know I won't be able to do a lot at the gym, or I shouldn't at least. I still want to keep up the routine and if I go then I will get some exercise, and hopefully I will be fully well in a couple of days. I still have a bad cough and my chest hurts (from coughing), and a little weak. I know I am slightly dehydrated still, I laid down last night and my mouth was so dry. I had a bottle of water by the bed, and I drank the whole thing in just a couple of drinks. I woke up this morning and my mouth is dry again. I will make sure for the next couple of days that I keep a bottle of water with me, I know getting re-hydrated will help me feel better as well. I have one month before we leave for Columbia, I would love to lose 8 pounds before then but I guess I have to settle with whatever the numbers are. I have got to be more strict on myself with my food choices, and my exercise, making sure I get an hour in everyday. I have a suit I want to feel good in for his Graduation.
IT'S A BRAND NEW DAY TO A BRAND NEW WEEK FOR A BRAND NEW ME!

UPDATE:
Today went great, I didn't crave cigarettes too bad. It was not a breeze by any means but I was able to deal. I didn't get the truck detailed, it started raining while on my way to the doctor. I didn't make it to the gym either. Chelsea fell asleep, and I had things to get done at home with Michael, so John fed and I stayed home. I did buy flowers for my flower bed today, and as soon as we have a clear day I am planning on planting. I splurged my cigarette money on mulch for the flower bed and around the trees as well. Next week I am buying a window box planter for my front window and some hanging pots for my seeds that I have started, if they start growing. I love flowers and it gives me something to do with my hands to keep me busy, so it is a great investment with my money and time that I have from quitting smoking.
