Time for recovery week. Bring on the cardio!

I am still concerned over my boyfriend's eating habits. Yesterday he told me that he had ordered breakfast from burger king, but that he had not had a chance to eat it. So I started talking about how much I disliked breakfast at fast food joints and that they usually had very few healthy selections. Then I especially started talking about how unhealthy the McDonald's Big Breakfast is. He got real quiet then said that he got the Burger King equivalent! So I decided to look up the nutrition facts. The calories alone were about half of his RDI! And I won't even get into the fat or sodium. So he told me that he trashed it. I hope he did.

Later on in the day I take him to Pockets, which is a relatively healthy place where you can basically stuff a pita pocket with whatever veggies and meat you want. So of all the good choices on the menu, he chooses to get a calzone with a side of ranch dressing. I just wanted to be like, are you serious? It is such a struggle with him. I hate to sound like I am nagging him about his choices. But at the same time I want him to eat better. But I think my healthy choices are rubbing off on him some.

That's really all you can do. Everybody has their own WHY. So just keep strong, lead by example and it will rub off on him. Someday. But you keep up the excellent work!!

Oh I feel like such a jerk...I never get notifications for buddy requests! Sorry...but glad to finally meet :D I know exactly how you feel about trying to teach others healthy habits. And a fast-food breakfast is a sure way to spoil your entire day! Hopefully your healthy choices will rub off on him more
