Thanks Lisa! My husband and I have been married 34 years this coming April. We have fallen in love over and over and over. Not that everything has been easy because it is work to keep a marriage healthy. For those of you who have gone through divorce it does not mean that you didn't work either. Sometimes when one person is doing all the work it doens't work. Have a great day my friend. Love and Hugs{{{}}}

Cindy- Praying for the restoration of a healthy marriage for your daughter and son in law. Even the best of marriages become fragile from time to time. Communication is so critical, sounds like they are off to a start.

Cindy - that sounds like big progress. It doesn't sound like this marriage in not salvageable, one of my former friends had a girlfriend and her husband did this taking off with friends for a few months going out partying and he eventually stuck with his marriage and kids. One thing interesting I heard at the poetry group last night, one of the women said as we were discussing stuff that oftentimes people go into a relationship or marriage and put someone on a pedestal and it comes crashing down when we find out they are just as human as us. Later a real interesting topic came up - we can change in time, but is God able to change or is he always the same? The people are very intellectual there almost all older than me and the group is lots of fun and I plan to go as much as I can - blessings to you and your family and thanks for all the kind words too on my journal the past few days! :)

Glad to hear your daughter is standing up for herself - in the old days, her father and uncles and brother or boy cousins would take the hubby out to the woodshed and smack him around to straighten him out - these days it is not politically correct to stick our noses into other people's business or smack people around (!) but usually outsiders have a much better picture and need to say "Straighten up and fly right, pal - you are a married father and not a kid anymore!" Having gone through many similar situations in my recently-ended marriage, the sooner he changes his attitude the better but it might be a long road for your daughter being the grown-up with an old child instead of a husband/partner. Congrats on your loss and hang in there with the grand-baby!
