Christina Maria Thompson's Journal, 28 April 2014

Had a good weekend but not much food in our house toward the end of the month so I have a hard time even finding the calories to even put in resulting in a too few calories to keep my rusty ol metabolism going. Choices don't end up being too good but it's better than starving so will see where things land later this week.
I was looking at my progress and noted that the best that I have done so far was the week where I drank alocohol twice in that week and one of those two had quite a few, lol. With that being said, it looks like scale plays some pretty strange tricks most of the time.
Hope everyone had a good weekend too!!! :)

That happens to me, espeically if there's no fresh fruit in the house I'm in trouble food choice wise. I'm sure that you'll be fine, you've been doing awesome!

Two words - dry beans! (One of our end-of-month mainstays)

A bag of 1-lb bag of each, beans and brown rice runs about $2 where I live. I always try to keep a bag of each and a yellow onion -- good in a bowl, or a variety of beans makes a good vegetarian chili (Dollar Tree Chile Powder), or mashed black beans mixed with the rice and coated with breadcrumbs (ends of bread) makes a pretty good patty (esp if you can add some torn spinach). I wish you the best...I know meal times can be stressful. Inbox me if you want to share ideas.

Beans are a great staple. Cheap, yummy, and nutritious. If you have a pressure cooker you can also cook them fairly quickly. Mix with veggies for a great soup or Sauté onions, some greens, ( I like kale or cabbage) with any white beans if you want add carrots whatever you have for a filling chock full of good things meal. Good way to make a meal with that package of frozen veggies or bits and pieces of fresh or leftovers.
