Ruhu's Journal, 26 April 2014

Well the party's over… the 100 days added sugar free party, and it's time to get back to work! So, today is spin class (perfect since its gloomy & rainy out), then book work until 5:15 mass. The 3 businesses that I do the books for have payroll & sales tax returns due by 4/30, plus monthly & quarterly reports due… so hi, ho, hi, ho, its off to work I go! Just have to go without any resentment of working on the weekend as it was my choice to enjoy & pamper myself (and my doggie) these last few days. And, I go with the tools I might need if I'm tempted to eat when Im not truly hungry -- my P's (pause, plate, progress not perfection, in prayer) and C's (seeking calm, staying curious and in charge).

But first I'll start my day in prayer --

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.

And I'll pray, breathe, journal, log & express my way throughout this one day and each one meal, moment, bite, thought & emotion. I'm so grateful for each of so supportive you, my family & IRL friends, knowing that while I have a busy work day ahead that I'll feel great when my work is done, and that I have the health & wealth to live this life I love! xoxox

It's a bummer to have to work on the weekends. But just one more week and then hopefully back to normal. Best wishes to you for your mindful eating this weekend.

In our line of work, it has to be done when it has to be done, payroll & sales tax reports have NO flexability! Think about your new clothes & how pretty when the weather actually warms enough to wear them....off to work you go now....hi ho!
