I made it through the weekend though not unscathed. Friday, I left at 1:30 to travel three and a half hours to meet my Grandmother for a play. The day was rushed and time was supposedly of the essence and each time I took a stop I wasted more time so I never had lunch.

Since she announced that she wanted to Golden Coral for dinner, I tried to save my calories and carbs for dinner. I snacked on 100 calorie packs of almonds until I arrived. I think that was worse for me then going ahead and eating lunch.

At Golden Corral I stuck to the meat and vegetables. Two servings of steak and one serving of pot roast, broccoli with cheese, sauted vegetables. I'm not a candy eater, but I wanted a little something for the play so I scooped a handful of m&ms and gummi bears into a napkin.

I ate my candy in the first act of the play. The most concerning part was when I went to the restroom. I had drank water all day. All my my pee all day had been clear and odor free, but when I went to pee after the first act it came out deep yellow and smelled foul and rotten. It took several trips to the bathroom and finally the next day that color and smell was out of my system. I'm going to create a post in the forum regarding urine smell to see if anyone else has experienced this.

To continue, the next morning was breakfast at Ihop. I had the vegie omlette and a few chunks of fruit. I did bad and had the flavored coffee and a refill. I got caught on the way back by family who lives halfway and had to hang out with them for the rest of the day. I basically had to wait to eat until they got hungry and by that time I was starved. They stopped by a roadside grill and I ate to sausage dogs (sans bun). Dinner was very late that night, I ate just meat and cheese at the birthday party we attended.

The next morning, I was strapped for time and had to stop by McDonald's. I ordered to egg mcmuffins meaning to eat only the ham egg and cheese. Well I could get the cheese off the bread so on both sandwiches I ate the side of the bread with the cheese. Which immediately caused a craving for soda (which I didn't fulfill). I did drink 4 cups of water before I made it back home and was rewarded with a huge bm. Then I was immediately swept away by my friend wanting to have family day at the bowling ally. The only thing I could eat was two hot dogs (sans buns). Then there was church which offered bad snacks and a bowl of vegetables and ranch (I only ate the veggies and ranch). Then home where I stuffed a few pieces of teriyaki chicken tenderloins in my mouth so I didn't wake up starving in the middle of the night.

All and all, I gained .2 lbs. But I'm done with trips and traveling for at least 1 full month. I think I stayed as good as I could through January and hope the scale can say 191 so I can feel good for sticking to my goal of an average monthly loss of 5 lbs.
