Hi guys, mega stressed about dissertation which has caused my to stress eat. I've been mindlessly eating all day!! I am determined to be better tomorrow. I'm certain that it's something to do with not writing in my journal for the last couple of days. I obviously need you guys to motivate me.
Just requested an extension for my dissertation because my advisor still hasn't got back to me yet and the deadline is Thursday!!
Oh well S+C tomorrow that will get me back on track hopefully.

Oh Loo! I know how stressful deadlines and exams can be! I also know how much help others can be during stressful times (to keep us on track)...we're always here for you! You can do this, don't let your stress overcome and sabotage your great work! If you MUST have "finger food" available for those "stress eating times" pre-record them in your calendar, so they're accounted for ahead of time, and won't sneak up on you afterward, causing MORE emotional eating (this time due to regret and guilt). Hang in there, you can see the light at the end of the tunnel! It's almost here!

Wow - good luck on the dissertation! I have two sisters who both completed their doctorates and it was a struggle. One of my sisters now teaches doctoral students! So good luck to you!

Thanks so much, I'm feeling slightly better today but I just know I've ruined all my hard work. I'm hoping to get back on track and by the weekend be back down to where I started. I've only got 2 days left until this deadline so hopefully it will all get a bit easier. Breaking habits required conscious effort and whilst I'm concentrating on writing about proteins I'm not really thinking about what's going into my mouth. I've learnt just to keep the snacks away from my desk! Thanks again for the encouragement.
