GOOD MORNING to all you lovely fs folks, i just wanna wish you a happy day today!!!! May you have the energy to get up and do what you need today,and may you have lots of smiles along your way.
Doing well here, weight loss is slow, but, its a loss and NOT a gain, so thats great! have a beautiful day.hugs to all

P.S. I think its time to switch the diet i am doing,and see if it kickstarts something,maybe more lbs.will come off then.Any suggestions from my buddies?

Hope you have a happy day too! Can't help you on the diet plan thing because Atkins is the only thing that works for me. Good luck!

Atkins is the only diet that works for me, but you might try increasing your net carbs a little (with complex/good carbs) and counting calories while keeping carbs under 60-80 net/day.

I love Intuitive Eating. No forbidden foods, no diets at all...just eating what you like and still losing. 40 pounds in a year may be too slow for some folks but the fact is I have not regained so I am totally happy. :) Best wishes finding what works for you!

I cut calories and limit intake of food and do Atkins too in a stall and cut red meat. It works eventually. I do a sort of 'intuitive eating' already, just on foods I can have. Everyone who I know who eats whatever they wants is extremely obese! And is in the fridge at the ice cream, cookies, pie, pancakes, french fries and pizza and I could go on... so that is NOT a good idea for anyone I believe who normally has weight issues. Mygranners increasing your exercise if that is possible might help too! I finally started exercising - I kept putting it off because of arthritis and now I have a dog so I have to exercise and it in less than two weeks is making a dramatic difference already! :)

I disagree with IE being all about eating everything in sight. It isn't. But you have to actually read the book to really understand it is about listening to what your body needs not just eating whatever is in front of you. It is about listening to your body and its needs completely and trusting it 100%. It is unfortunate and sad that those who have not read the book or any materials on it think they know what it is about. I know MANY people who use IE and they are not obese-on the contrary. Obesity is not caused by IE-it is resolved for many people who use it and is not a quick fix like so many diets that people fail on year after year...enough of my mini rant. My apologies if I offended anyone but it really irks me when someone bashes IE when they obviously know nothing about it.

I suggest a low calorie day to jump start you and hope you keep posting. It doesn't matter if you gain weight temporarily, that's what we are here for. Hang in there Brenda!
