Good morning!

So, how are you guys?

I'm sorry I've been kinda abscent from here. Things going on around me are crazy, and I'm just not very motivated to be writing - which is a shame because I know it helps me, mentally.

Weight is still unacceptably high, but body fat percentage and fat weight are consistantly crawling down now. Slow, but consistently. That's all I ask for.

My slightly changed approach seems to be doing the trick.

I'm still following IIFYM, as I see so many smart and easy things about it, but I'm keeping my calories lower than recommended.

Every day I calculate how much of a deficit my body can handle with the current weight and fat, without tapping into muscle mass.

Then I am to have that calorie deficit.

It's pretty simple. The last few days I have hit it within 100 calories, and that is as perfect as I want it to be.

The result is that my fat is coming off. Sadly, I'm not getting any lighter. In fact, I'm WAY up in weight today.

I'm annoyed by it, but I also know that it is NOT fat. It's just the result of large, filling meals yesterday. Those meals were all chicken and turkey breast with veggies, along with SKYR, so it's all good. I ended up at 1700 calories, had a 1000 calorie deficit, and it fit perfect with th 2700 calorie burn I had. It was a lazy day, so the burn was a little lower than what I like.

Today is different. I've been active ALL morning, to avoid a low calorie burn. If I just sit and do nothing at all for the rest of the day (which I won't), I will reach an estimated calorie burn of 2860, so it should be no problem reaching 3000+ calories burned today.

I already went to the gym for my weight/strength training, and I walked ten kilometers. It's 8:45 Am. :) Doing well, Keld. Hey, that rhymes. :)

Again, I'm not really in the mood to write a whole lot these days. My thoughts are everywhere and a mess, but I wanted to keep in contact and check it. This is important, especially if I want to reach my weight goals.

And boy, do I want it. It really bothers me that things haven't been optimal the last month or two, and I just can't stand it any longer. I will do this, and it will be done right and efficiently, NOW. :)

...and then tomorrow, I'll try to explain why I didn't stick to plan. LOL. That's what usually happens.

Still, if one doesn't make the initial commitment, then nothing will happen at all, right?

It's all good.

Today, I am thankful for:
- Feeling accomplished, gym and walk.
- Morning coffee!
- Wife for being awesome!

Happy Wednesday! Even on your low motivation days you seem to be more motivated than most, including me. Keep up the good work!

I appreciate it, David. Now, should I come over and kick your butt into gear?

You are doing great. It wouldn't be an experiment if we knew the outcome in advance! I also have adjusted my IIFYM calories down by about 200 a day. Will track like that for the remainder of February. Funny, I've been thinking about doing the 'max fat metabolized per day' thing in March myself! Cheers, Keld!
