Today has been horrible! I had a good day until 3pm. I am so aggrevated and mad at myself. I guess i am still going through changes, my newborn is only 11 weeks old so i guess i am still haveing a little depression with the hormone changes! I busted my butt working out last niht and today even went to my grandmothers and got her Gazelle so i could do some strong cardio since i cant go out here with the kids yet. Then I SCREWED UP! I ate 3 p-nut butter cookies and 8 small pretzels! I have just been crving and starving and i didnt know what to do and i got mad and depressed but i am even more mad and depressed and feel STUPID for eating what i know i was not suppose to eat! Why do i keep doing this? I know it only slows me down and messes me up, why cant i just realize this enough to stop? So therefor not having such a good night. I am about to drink some water (a lot of it) get ready for church and when i get home and get kids in bed exercise my butt off! Maybe oneday i will quit messing up!

I know you are going through a tough time of adjustments. Try to cut youself some slack. We all make mistakes, but the important thing is that you don't let a slip-up turn into a derailment. You'll be fine. You have lost a lot of weight in the last month and your body tries to fight back with cravings. Just get rid of the things that you aren't supposed to have, if you can. Try to keep some legal treats around to keep you sane. This is a learning process and an adjustment. You are doing just fine. Hang in there. We all have tough days.

Sara is right don't be so hard on yourself. I get those cravings. Fortunately for me I can eat those pork rinds most people hate and they satisfy that popcorn, potato chip, fritos, etc. craving! I used to eat fritos and buttermilk when I was thin and could eat whatever I wanted when I lived in Los Angeles. Those days are OVER! Oh WELL - don't worry and find something you CAN have that you like! And have that! I'm headed to the store to get some pork rinds across the street now! And it's freezing out! :)

When I get cravings: I make "baked fries" out of veggies like squash, carrots, sweet potatoes. I even make my own peanut butter cookies (OR CARROT cookies -- they are just as good and "sweet" but better for you of course!) bacically look for a "healthier" recipes. That way, when you do allow yourself a snack you know exactly what is in it AND you know that it is better for you than girl scout cookies. I know you are on Atkins: I know nothing about it! But, atkins has been great. However, maybe it is time that your body is saying "hey, let's try a little something else so that we are not miserable." You said you feel like you are missing something. You have done GREAT on your diet! Better than I or a lot of there people would do. You need to find a diet that is satisfying each and every day: but to do so... you might need to also research healthy recipes to get that sweet taste you want or crave with less calories and refined sugar. It was a bit difficult for me to get going but I think I am getting the hang of it. You will too!! You are doing wonderful, and you can't be so hard on yourself. It will be ok.
