Missychick21's Journal, 08 February 2014

I kept seeing "16/8" mentioned and didn't really know what that meant so I did a little research. I never really consciously thought of doing any fasting but I think I get pretty close to it already... I don't think I want to try entire fasting days but doing 16/8 seems like something I could do. I don't know about having 8:00 be my ending time though since that is when I go to bed and I didn't think you were supposed to go to sleep on a full stomach... But if I follow my own rule of not eating after 7 I could probably do 11-7 instead of 12-8... I assume it will be basically the same thing...

If anyone has helpful tips let me know :)

Other than that I am still coughing up stuff but have finished my antibiotics and my cough medicine :( My ears are still plugged and my right one hurts like crazy. With the roads being so bad I don't want to try to drive to town to the doctor...grrr I wish it would just go away so I can feel better and actually sleep at night. Though I feel the coughing is working my abs because they hurt nonstop now too. Haven't been doing my workouts because of feeling so cruddy so who knows what the scale is going to say for me :(

My 8 hour eating window is between 10 AM and 6 PM, only because that fits best into my schedule. The beauty of it is you can choose whatever times work for you. I do this along with my usual eating plan. So far I've lost 13 pounds on it.

I didn't know if there was a specific benefit or the recommended time-frame :) Honestly 10-6 would probably be even easier for me since I have to wake up at 6am so I would have a lot of conscious time that I would be starting to feel hungry...I'm a SAHM so I don't really have a "work" schedule.

You're welcome Suzanne :) It was something I never heard about before either but saw it come up in a few buddies journals and figured I'd look into it and see what it was about :)
