I will NEVER see 200 on that scale again... I am so happy about my weight loss! I went out to dinner last night with a friend and thought that I had blew it, but apparently I did not. Tonight will be tricky because I am going out with a roommate that refuses to "eat anything green" and these are his own words... so we will see where his parents take us and how my diet fares. I realized something though last night... even though I feel better when I eat all my points, I have been staying 10 points under my daily allowance. I have heard from people who have done weight watchers and have went to the meetings, that in order to lose weight you must eat all your points. Is this even true?

You know weight loss is such an individual thing. Yes WW does state that you have to eat all your points. What they base that on is the fact that for most people, when they eat too little their bodies go into "famine" mode. That means it shuts down to try and conserve energy and fat. WW wants to trick your body into thinking that everything is status quo...no diet... no starvation, therefore, no shutdown of weight loss. I have had to do both...right now I try to shoot for 1200 - 1500 calories per day and hitting my points either right on or below. But I actually do better if I am a bit below. I never utilize or count my added exercise points because it would let me think I could eat a heck of a lot more than I should. I know why I got here! hahahhah So switch it up a bit and try both. You will have to if you have very much weight to lose over time. You body alters itself so quickly and adjusts to whatever you seem to throw at it..hence the plateau syndrome. Sounds like you are starting off right though...Good Luck to you!

Look at you!!!!!! Congratulations!!!! Bye-bye 200's!! I agree with POWENCH- I always try to eat my 22 points everyday, because if I don't things don't move on the scale the right direction. I try to eat around 1100-1200 calories a day, keep the fiber count up, and eat 3 meals and low point snacks during the day. I also do not count any flex points anymore, because I tend to eat too much when I rely on them. Also, when I exercise, I do not count those in either. It is all up to how your body does. Looks like you are doing a great job!! I am so happy for you!!!
