Hi there, guys!

VERY cool news today!

I'm in the papers today! Check it out! :)

Page 4:

I can't believe that they decided to spend both front page and a FULL FRICKIN' PAGE on me! Wow. I am truly honored, and I just have to brag about it.

I can't wait to see if this has an impact on my Weight loss Classes!

...

I did great yesterday. My strategy worked, though I did have an extra piece - a large one - of cheesecake, as it was SINFULLY good!

My full meal clocked in at about 1900 calories, including starters, a full Thanksgiving meal and a large dessert (with extras). It was all good, except that the carb number was a little higher than I hoped - probably mostly due to the damn cheesecake.

...

The rest of the strategy worked, though. I didn't eat all day, and I wasn't overly hungry at 7 PM when we had dinner. I felt like I was in control, but I did want that extra piece of cheesecake.

Afterwards, I had NO snacks. I also resisted gingerbread cookies, nuts, fruits, flan, chocolate, candies, etc. I had nothing. Nada. Zip. For this, I am proud - especially because it wasn't even hard.

...

I think and I feel that I have the focus where it needs to be.

Today, my food plan includes mostly meat to up the protein intake, and only 11g of carbs. It's gonna be plenty of food, and I will clock in at aroud 1100 calories. It's very fine.

I did my walk this morning, all goals for the day is met. I am drinking water like crazy, to shed fluid.

...

So far, shedding fluid is NOT going well. I am actually UP by 1.2 kilos today, all fluid. It's remarkable.

On the other hand, my body fat percentage dropped drastically to 8.4%.

Looking back in my data, the last time I had the same weight as today, my body fat was 12.5%. That's quite a change, and it shows that things has changed. This was just one week ago, by the way.

I'm still gonna go the same route, attempting to drop the water. I hope I can get quite some of it off me the next few days. I can't do much more than what I'm doing. Consistency and dedication is key. I will not slip now.

So, I will simply follow plan. It's gonna give results, I think.

...

An interesting point, by the way... the water retention I see is always affecting my muscle mass too. Today I realized, that my muscle mass now is only two kilos away from my FULL WEIGHT when I was at my lowest weight with no muscles. This is just ridiculous - and very cool! It just shows what a consistent workout CAN do.

...

So, what else can I do to shed further fluid?

I am reading a little more about cardio in this regard.

I still stand by my opinion - I find cardio to generally be a waste of time. I find it to be boring and a pain in the rear.

But I also read about the dehydration from it, from using energy and dehydrating. This is something that COULD be used to my benefit, but I'm not sure if this would be smart to incorporate right now, or if this is more of a "last day" kind of thing. I would think that if I dropped some fluid from the cardio a few days early, it would just come back from me doing excessive water drinking. Or? What do you guys think?

...

Man, I can't WAIT to be on the other side of the surgery. I am tired of having to stragetize every single move I do. I'm tired of worrying. I'm tired of it all.

I can't wait to have it done, and HAVE TO BE IN MAINTENANCE MODE for a while. I will have to actually ensure that I eat enough, to not lose muscle mass. I might gain a kilo of fat, maybe even two, but I know exactly what to do to lose them again. I am not scared of that.

I think it would be easier to lose two kilos of fat than it would be to regain muscle mass. Building muscle is HARD work.

...

Today is Saturday. We don't really have any plans, and we're already in the middle of the afternoon.

I had lunch with Wife - ALL meat! - and I have zero hunger, and zero urge for carbs/sugar/snacks/anything-really.

Dinner is leftover turkey, and maybe a few veggies. I'm considering just going for the meat, depending how much is left. I really wanna skip those carbs as I see how it affects the fluid. It would be cool to try out a zero carb day for once. Just to see how THAT feels.

If not, I'll add a few veggies. Maybe.

Tomorrow, this is gonna be a challenge. NO PLANS AT ALL. No band, no guests, no anything. This is often a day where I would be eating, so I need to prep myself to have food that I can have without damaging anything.

I am perfectly happy with my body fat percentage as it is now - also if it goes up after shedding fluid, but the fluid is really what needs to go.

I'm gonna spend more time reading today, trying to find more little trick to shed it. I know to look at the boxers and kick boxers, weight lifters, etc., who weigh in before "fight nights". They are the ones who know about shedding fluid, and I am sure there are some great articles available online. It's time to educate myself just a little further on this.

...

Today, I'm thankful for:
- FAME! I wanna live forever! :)
- A great day so far. Loving having a full weekend off.
- Wife!
- Awesome friends who made our late Thanksgiving dinner very special.

Life is good!

You have lost a tremendous amount of weight. You show us it can be done. Fortunately, I do not have to lose that much. Good going... your English is excellent if it is a second language by the way... I know in Europe they often teach two, three or more languages. I know Spanish, but I am rare for an American.

Glenn, I have always used my English. I had English since 2nd grade, and have always in my younger years worked with Brits. Then, later, I married an American, and have lived in the US for 6 years. I don't even realize when I change from Danish to English. :) Speaking of rare Americans, Wife speaks English, Spanish, French and now also Danish. She rocks. Hard.

WOWWW!!! THAT IS FANTASTIC, KELD!!! Although, I have to give you a bit of a hard time about that headline: "It's actually easy to lose 80 kilos!" LOLOL. "Keld says he found a group online where everyone has experienced massive weight loss, and the people he contacted for advice and guidance." Hey, is that FS? Anyway, congratulations are certainly warranted. You have done an AMAZING JOB on yourself, and you continue to support people on here and in your part-time job. You truly are an inspiration to us all, and hopefully many many more people to come. Thank you, Keld!!!

Wow, Kingkeld. That is amazing, I have a knack for languages, and I need to start watching our Spanish telenovelas. In the USA very few Americans can speak more than one language. I want to learn French, which I know is a matter of learning the pronunciation - which is easy with Spanish. It has been studied and people who are fluent in more than one language are less likely to get dementia-type issues when older. I was going to learn to play guitar or the piano but the arthritis in my hands can be so bad, I can forget that so I will focus on getting better at Spanish and learning French too.

Rob - it really ISN'T all that hard to lose 80 kilos. The - by far - hardest part of my journey has been maintaining the low weight while putting on muscle, simply to please the doctors. This has been WAY harder than anything else, and I'm glad it's gone in less than a week. The "group online" is indeed a pack of Elders that were on Fatsecret years ago. They're all gone by now, hopefully busy living real life. I basically took contact to them and asked what worked for them. I based my initial journey on their answers. Then I just kept reading, stayed curious, googled A LOT, and adjusted as needed. You have no idea how proud I get when people tell me that I inspire them... it means the world. I'm the one being thankful here.

:) Well you really deserve this great recognition for all you've accomplished, and all you continue to do. I'm so proud to have you as a buddy on here.

Awww... you're gonna make me blush. LOL.

Draglist - I'll be looking forward to hearing how it goes. DO keep in mind that you will have days with large weight gains as you go... it's all part of the game. Don't panic.

Wow, now that is amazing. Congratulations Keld!
