Not much happened here today. Went downtown, got a few more Christmas gift and some food. My daughter and I put up the tree today. It's a smaller one than last year. I just couldn't tackle the 8 footer any more. I had to buy a doggie play pen to put the tree in so the baby wouldn't have it on top of him. His first Christmas that he can enjoy, so don't want the tree falling on top of him and scaring him to piece.lol That may be the only decorations that gets put up this year just because I don't have any spare time. Oh well, if it is, it is!!!
Sorry I didn't post earlier as I know Isabel like to read her buddies journals early in the morning. It is 6:23pm EST here and it has been s@#wing all day. We have about 5 or 6 inches. Just enough to make the roads miserable. Hope all had a great day.:)

F/S thinks snowing is a swear word? ROFL! I bet the snow looks beautiful even if it makes the roads nasty. I would love some snow here! Great idea about the play pen - you are clever!

You guys are a hoot. Sorry if I put pressure on you Laurie, its a busy time right now. Glad you got your tree up. This will be a great xmas with your grandson running around. Kids just make the season so special. I laughed at your comment about HIS horses. So much for togetherness, eh only when its warm. LOL. Have a lovely evening. Its perishing cold here -5 with some awful wind chill - I`m sat by the fire with a warm cuppa - lovely Using the new laptop and having difficulty with the new keyboard. but its nice to be able to sit in the living room swith the fire and the cat otherwise the cat comes and cries at me to come sit with him. Awe!!!

Laura, yes, I too hope it slows down soon. I will be taking plenty of pictures of the festivities and I will share them with you folks. Just excuse the mess with mounds of wrapping paper, dogs, gifts and all.lol The clean-up crew comes in later on that evening.lol

Yup Squiggs, a 4 foot high, doggie play pen. At least Branden and Colby won't be able to pull the tree on top of them. That would be horrible to think those babies are having nightmares about this huge(to them) Christmas tree fall over on them. YUP, to me S@#w is a swear word. whispering so Stef doesn't hear me,lol I so dislike s@#w.

No pressure Is. I've been very slack on my journals. slap my hands. I will try to do better. Yes, children do make the season. If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't bother. I'm trying to get past the past, but it is very difficult. Stef keep coaching me through though. Got to love that woman.:) Well Is, they are HIS horses. I got rid of all mine. Between the both of us, we use to have 17 with 3 in foal. OOOOOOOh a fire to cuddle up by. That sounds so lovely. Hope you had a great day and stay warm.:)

Sorry Christmas isn`t always joyful for you. I too don`t particularly like Christmas but this year seems to be different for some reason. I can`t imagine all the work involved with the animal, I just think of the romance of it all, horses are lovely creatures, when you don`t have to clean up after them. happy ho ho

I hear ya Laurie some years you just don't have enough hours in a day
to get everything done. Can't wait for the pics of Christmas. Having
paper and such in the pics is part of it. Its like chocolate on a babies

I'm glad you got to put up a tree. We haven't as yet and I don't know if we'll have one this year, either. I want one but am just not sure I can do all the work of decorating it all on my own with all the other things that I'm already committed to. Your grandkids are going to have memories that will last them a lifetime. I should know...my best memories are of Christmas at my grandparents' house!
