kingkeld's Journal, 03 November 2013

Good morning!

It's a good day already! I'm down in weight a little, a little closer to goal, and I'm working at the gym. In fact, I am there right now, and this is the reason that this journal has to be relatively short.

Yesterday was GREAT, and much to my surprise VERY low on calories.

I basically had two meals - lunch and dinner.

We had lunch in Malmö, Sweden. We found this AWESOME little Thai place, and I made very sound choices there. Grilled chicken with a little satay (peanut) sauce, and chicken breast with veggies - along with a side salad. There was also a HUGE pile of white rice, which I simply skipped.

Dinner was held in Copenhagen, Denmark. We found this amazing little burger joint where they do incredible home made burgers. I had the chili burger, which is a 150g burger in a bun, with salad, mayo, fresh chili peppers and baked beans. Yum. Again, I skipped the entire bun, and thus also avoided the mayo. Not too shabby.

In Malmö, we went to the American Store, where Wife and I shop for all the little comfort foods from the US that we can't find here. They have a very limited selection, but it's nice to get to browse.

I found some scorching hot cinnamon jaw breakers that I REALLY like. They're insanely hot though, so it easily limits the intake. I won't be muching more than max one of those in a day, and not every day. They are about 40-50 calories each, no big deal.

I also took the liberty to buy a bar of Habanero Chocolate. I am looking forward to this. It's gonna be hot, hot, hot too. Again, limited intake. These candies will last a while.

In Copenhagen, after dinner and as we were walking towards the train station about to head home, we saw that the new Thor movie is out. We decided that we wanted to see it, and when we went to the movie theater we had 20 minutes to kill.

I decided to buy just a bar of candy or something for the movie. We already had diet sodas, so I didn't need that.

Going into the candy store, I saw the HUUUUUGE line. I had no intentions of getting into that mess, so I simply skipped. Wife was sweet and suggested that I could have a Butterfingers that she bought at the American Store. I took it, but wanted to save it for the movie.

Then, as the movie started, I realized that it was after 7 PM, and that my feeding window had closed. Without any hesitation I simply put the candy bar away, and on the train I gave it back to Wife. I don't want it.

So, my total calorie intake - from a fun day out and visiting TWO restaurants - was 1050 calories. How about that?

Anyways, as I said, I am at work at the gym. I better pay attention.

Today, I'm thankful for:
- 1000 calorie day yesterday, when it could easily have turned into an Indulgence Day.
- Morning coffee after a night with not too much sleep. We came home at midnight, were in bed at 1 AM, and I was up at 6, our walking at 7 and opened the gym at 8. All exercise goals will be reached today.
- Wife for bringing me lunch, and for being amazing company yesterday.

Happy Sunday! Life is good!

(Colors are off on the pictures because we are sitting outside the burger joint, under a heating lamp. It's getting cold in Denmark!)

Sounds like a wonderful day all around. You're a pro when it comes to mentally tallying the calories. A lesson we all need to learn. That is an excellent photo of you and Wife.
