Have switched to the DASH diet completely now, as my cholesterol is high, and was doing DASH (low sodium) and Atkins, but got the book for DASH/losing weight and need to add more fiber. Feel good, still off of BP meds (I think five months now) and I like that the DASH diet is not about what not to eat, but to make sure my body GETS enough of certain foods. More like making sure your car has the right octane gas and weight of oil to run and last. And once you've gotten in what you MUST have - lots of veggies, fiber and moderate protein, you don't really have room for anything else.
158.0 lb Lost so far: 10.0 lb.    Still to go: 13.0 lb.    Diet followed N/A.

Thanks! I need to start logging food again to teach me fat gram limits and be honest about getting my fruits and veggies! Need to lower the cholesterol now. The low sodium diet reduced my BP within 10 days!

So great to hear from you - and glad you are doing well and are off those awful meds. Weight graph looks pretty nice too!
