Warning...if you have lost a lot of weight...take off your wedding ring until you get it resized!!! Ask my hubby, he lost his tonight! He has lost 70 lbs and the ring slid off his finger somewhere. He was out in our pasture next to the woods. He was throwing branches into the woods. I think it flew off then. We are borrowing a metal detector tomorrow to go on a search. It got dark tonight before we could search very long.

Ouch! I lost a seven diamond ring in the ocean after losing weight myself. Not as much as your spouse but enough to know the ring needed resizing. Neptune now wearing a very nice ring.

Thankfully he does have two wedding rings...this one was his plain gold band. His diamond ring is safe in the house. The diamond one was never resized when he gained weight. That one should fit him again...but he can't wear that ring when he works. The plain gold band was able to be worn all the time. He feels so bad. We have been married since 1986 and we were not ready for this. Hopefully the metal detector finds it tomorrow...cross your fingers for us. At the price of gold we can't afford to replace the band right now.

I hope you find his ring, could be an opportunity to make your next anniversary special, maybe a recommitment ceremony, if you can't find it. Still I know it was special and will pray that you find his ring.

Praying you are able to find his ring!! My rings definitely need resized, something I have been putting off for a while now. I will make it a priority.

The issue for me now is that he is looking soooo good after losing all this weight and now he doesn't have his everyday wedding ring to wear. Call me paranoid, but I want that ring back on his hand every day! Someone else may discover what a catch I made!

HE FOUND THE RING! The miracle occured today. After mentioning it in our Sunday school class that it was lost...He took a walk out to the pasture and without the metal detector he found it! It is now off his finger. We found a stainless steel ring that he will be using as his wedding ring while he works. It was on sale for a fabulous price and looks very much like a wedding ring. If he happens to lose this one we won't be upset. Thanks for all the prayers and encouragement!
