Been stuck at the same weight for about a week. I need to kick start something to make it move. It is supposed to be hot and humid the next two days...maybe I will sweat it off without moving!!!

Really want to bake cookies to send to my daughter in South Dakota. She deserves them because she works so hard. She also wants to give some as gifts. If I bake them and send them off I won't eat them...which is a good thing. It is so hot though I don't want to heat up the house with the oven.

First three days of work seem to be going ok for my son. He has worked overtime two of the first three days. Sounds like they may have him work both Saturday and Sunday also. Having not worked for a while he is fine with this. More money is good when you are broke. He is working with two girls that are actually from China. He said the only problem with that is you have to tell them what to do three times before they comprehend what they should be doing. Wondering if they are from the company that he is evaluating for the company. He didn't say.

Hello Kmunson, been stuck at same weight is actually not bad. It is important to keep in mind weight loss is different at different diet stages. If you are doing everything you normally do when you loose weight, then check other areas, such as tape meassuring, a digital scale to measure body fat vs. pounds, visit a fitting room at your favorite clothing store, increase your water intake to 8oz more and see if that turn your urine color lighter, if you like sugars try eating "half of" or restrick to 1 serving of those high-sugar items... Good luck and Congratulations to your son!

Thanks flaca01! Usually I end up losing the same few pounds over and over...so the same I guess is good. At least I did not gain. I have so much to lose that stalling is just frustrating. I thought about measuring...when I was over 290 lbs that just seemed cruel to do. Now that I am around 260 lbs it seems more realistic. I maybe won't hate the numbers quite so badly. I am already drinking 4-5 20 oz bottles of water a day. I run to the bathroom so often that at times I think I live in there. I can't drink more than that...I get nauseous if I do. I have really been keeping my sweets intake down. I am more addicted to salty than sweet. Though what girl doesn't like her chocolate once in a while. Just coming off that TOM so that could help too... I am thrilled that my son is working...just hope that he stays employed. This is a temp job through account temps now...but since he has a bachelor of accountancy...any work is good because it is giving him experience that everyone requires before hiring you.

Your sons job sounds interesting perhaps it will work into something full time. I usually bake lots of cookies and banana bread at Christmas, there will not be so much this year, enough to give away but not so much for the house. Enjoy your weekend, sorry for the humidity hitting your area the southwest is drying out a little. Should be 108 and about 20 percent humidity.

I used your drinking water idea and it helped me when I last felt stuck, I now brew some iced tea, no sugar, and drink several glasses over ice each day. That has helped me in several ways, caffeine and the time spent in the bathroom. You might give this a try for a few days and see if it helps. I put several tea bags in a large jar of water a set it in the sunny side of the back porch for several hours. I them get it into a pitcher and into the fridge. Makings sun tea results in less tannin and bitterness in the tea, it almost tastes sweet.

I wish I had 30 pounds less since April. You're really on the ball, Kmunson! All I can say is GREAT JOB!!! Keep your stability and eventually you will shed the pounds off.

Thanks Deegees Mom, My Mom used to drink tea all the time...for some reason I have never drank tea or coffee. Really haven't tried either. I guess I don't like bitter taste and I think of these as bitter drinks. If you have to add sugar to drink it what is the point? For now I will stick with water I guess. I am thinking this stuck weight is because of that time of the month. We will see in the next few days. Thanks also flaca01! I have a lot more to lose than you do! I still have about 100 lbs to reach my ultimate goal. I decided to do it in chunks...otherwise I would have gotten discouraged. My youngest is 14 years old and a freshman in high school. I still have pregnancy weight from having her I think! My hubby is amazing. He is my support and idol. He has lost 70 lbs in the last year. He keeps me honest and is the reason that I have been as successful as I have been. I keep having set backs and he keeps me pushing forward. I AM going to lose more than he did! I am almost half way to what he lost after about 5 months. We will see...the battle is on!
