the fast diet (500 cal 2 days a week) works. I'm rotating calories, from 500 or 600 cal to 900 cal to 1200 to 1300 cal.
148.0 lb Lost so far: 6.0 lb.    Still to go: 21.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
on diet SlimChick's own diet   losing 0.8 lb a week


Have not heard of that one. I will have to look into it!

It's called "the Fast diet" or the "5:2 fast diet". It works on the principle that in the wild in nature your metabolism speeds up for the first couple days you go on low food, to help you find more food. (After that you hit starvation mode and lock down on the fat.) But if you rotate calories and have a couple low calorie days, a few very reasonable days and maybe one "free" day where you eat fairly normally the pounds start falling even if they've been stuck on

So do you do the 2 low days in a row or spread them out in the week? Or 5 days reasonable eating and then 2 days low cal?

I spread them out. It requires a little planning to have the right foods to have on hand for a fasting day (I eat primal strips veggie jerky and a bag of nuts usually, or a couple eggs on toast with salad).
