Just a friendly reminder - if you are 170 pounds you in NO WAY resemble a beached whale (I need a rolling eye icon here).
Even NEWBORN whales weigh almost 400 pounds, so see if anyone weighs as much as a whale it's ME and I won't let y'all steal my thunder by claiming to be something only me and people who have packed it on as much as I have can lay claim to :) .. y'all are only allowed to say you are as big as things that are actually the weight you are, okay? Like an emaciated pony or something like that.
Now back to your regular programming.

Isn't it amazing how warped our perceptions of ourselves can be? Wise words, Odyssey... and with a nice dose of sarcasm for flavor ;)

Bravo Odyssey, I wish we lived in a world where people didn't feel the need to put labels on their perceptions. Most people are dilussional and say these things to feed their warped little ego's lmao. Predjudice is ugly and all around us, people need to wake up and truly recognize the beauty that lies within in everyone. I suppose it starts with us. As individuals we need to love and accept ourselves first because only when we appreciate ourselves no matter where we are in our lives then with a healthy perception we can go into our world and appreciate the beauty of others. Ha!... but maybe they FEEL like a beached whale. Like they are so bloated they are having trouble breathing and moving. I have felt so bloated at times that I can understand the saying (thankfully not very often).

OK, but I DO look like the ladies in Little Lulu, if any of you remember that comic. The ladies all had large tops and skinny legs. I seem to be losing all my weight in my legs so far. That didn't used to happen. So when I see my reflection walking past windows, I think of Little Lulu's pigeon-breasted ladies. LOL.

Odyssey, your post is hilarious! Emaciated pony - I love it! And you are so right - I hate it when 'skinnier' people say those kinds of ridiculous things. It bothers me too.

Woohoo! Never been called an emaciated pony! LMAO. I'm 213 lbs...my heaviest weight ever. <sigh> But I am going to change this pound by pound. Odyssey, do love your post though! Thanks for the giggle. :-) Good luck on your journey!
