SAD ANGRY CONFUSED DISCOURAGED

What else can I say? I've been following my diet religiously. No Sugar. No Wheat/Grains. No Fruit. NO WINE. NO POUNDS LOST...Actually I gained 3 pounds. I just don't understand.

My family says it is that I am not eating enough food, but based on my food journal, I think that I am.

I know I need to step it up with the excercise so today I will start the 30 day Squat Challenge. Fingers crossed that it will help.

I do still feel good. I feel lighter, and some clothes are fitting better. I don't feel like I have gut overhang on my pants and I have more energy and definately do not feel that bloaty sluggish feeling that I was feeling.

Perhaps the numbers on the scale are in fact just numbers and the real results are in the way you feel? Well, I'd still like to see the numbers moving in the right direction damn it!

Hey namsm. I looked through a couple of your food logs and its possible that you may not be getting enough veggies. Its also possible that the atkins food products are slowing your loss. I've heard a lot of people who eat or drink the stkins products have a hard time losing on those. I would cut those out for a while and see if that helps. Not to mention you have about twenty pounds or so to lose and those are the most stubborn to get rid of. Don't get discouraged because the scale doesn't want to cooperate, if you feel better and your clothes feel better then go by that. Keep trsck of your measuments as well because the proof will be there when the scale is being a pain in the butt.

Thanks Hdp2102, I appreciate the encouragement. It's such a challenge. I think you may be right about the Atkins bars. I will take a break from them and see how it goes. Thanks again so much!

No problem! I hope it helps. I personally have never touched the stuff based on others opinion about them and I have a terrible sweet tooth. They would only poke the bear for me. Lol

Wow, that is so frustrating. I looked over your diet calendar and the way you are eating is not super conducive to Atkins success. You have a lot of *processed* foods in your diet calendar. Preservatives and sugar lurk in those foods. In order to get into Ketosis and lose weight you really have to eat on plan. That means meat, eggs and vegetables. Look through some other Atkins users diet calendars and see what they are eating. Or get an Atkins book and look at their sample menus. Be careful of the Atkins products too. Atkins books say they are not awesome, but they are a corporation, so they are trying to make money off of them. My suggestion: Try having an egg for breakfast. Some sort of grilled chicken and a salad for lunch. Then a meat and vegetable for dinner. The processed food and take out probably have sugar in them. And any bit of sugar can spell disaster. Good luck!

Thanks katekat. I agree, I must prepare foods on my own for success. I am very fond of the breakfast shake that I make with the protein powder and the almond milk. Do you guys think that I can continue with that? It's been a busy month (school year ending, etc) and I have neglected my at home food prep. Strick Atkins following requires a lot of at home food prep/cooking in order to be successful. Thanks for the tip about reviewing other's food diary's. I never thought to do that! I'm really glad I found this site, and I thank you both for your advise. Please keep it coming :-)
