LENT - I'm sacrificing chicken! What do you eat on a regular basis that you're willing to give up for 6 weeks? Nope not doing this for any religious reasons, I'm agnostic. Just want to be healthier and this is something that's on my plate almost daily that could definitely be swapped out with something healthier for me and the planet.

I'm not suggesting an ingredient (i.e. sugar, salt, etc.), as that's difficult under the best of circumstances, just something (like soda, or ice cream) you know could be exchanged for a 6 week period to see how you feel and if you can do without it for that long, then do you really need it at all.

Fingers crossed and still fighting the scales for my March 1st Goal.

I hear ya! I am thinking of trying to fast for meditation, self-reflection, and mental clarity. I never done it before in my life, but my curiosity is getting the better of me....it's just a thought right now but I am thinking of trying maybe every Friday.

I gave up meat and chicken for lent in 2018 and never looked back. I was supporting a religious friend, she lasted two days I’m still going 2 years later 😁

Hey @Swedishblondie good on ya for giving up the meat. I haven't eaten a mammal since 1988. Living in AZ makes getting decent seafood a challenge, but now that Phoenix has grow to the 5th largest city in the US, there's no reason for my continued consumption of poultry except pure laziness. Hoping for a good result from my Lent sacrifice. If it pans out then perhaps I'll be able to convert to a pescatarian diet again.
