Today's not my weigh in day, but I got on the scale and i'm up a 1/2lb. Ugh...i'm not counting it as an official weigh in (I was just curious), but it's the first time i've gone up the entire time i've been dieting. And the weird thing is - I haven't done anything really different! We did have a picnic on Monday - but I behaved. I ate more chicken than anything else, but I did have frozen yogurt for dessert. I've also eaten quite a bit of corn on the cob since the season is coming to an end for it and I enjoy it so much. Maybe that's what's doing it, I dunno. But i'm really praying that it at least goes down a 1/2lb by tomorrow so I can at least say I stayed the same and didn't go up! LOL :)

I don't know why I get so caught up on the numbers that show up on the scale. I guess it's just because I know how hard i've worked -- so to see it go up means I did something wrong...or at least makes me feel that way. I guess what I need to remember is that no matter what the scale says tomorrow, i'm healthier today than I was 3 months ago. I'm honoring God with what I put in my body more today than I did 3 months ago. I'm exercising and moving my body more today that I did 3 months ago. And that, in the end, is what matters the most - more than the numbers on the silly scale! :)
